Whittlebury Park Unveils £375,000 Leisure Club Refurbishment

Whittlebury Park is excited to announce the completion of a major £375,000 refurbishment of its Leisure Club gym, a project aimed at enhancing the fitness experience for its growing membership base.
The gym, closed for some time in June, underwent a comprehensive upgrade following 12 months of meticulous planning. This process included analysing current fitness trends, incorporating the latest equipment, and gathering extensive member feedback. The primary objective was to create additional floor space to accommodate the increase in membership and facilitate more functional workouts.
“Our priority was to keep our members informed about the refurbishment,” said Greg Darkes, Head of Membership Sales and Vacation Club for Whittlebury Park. “We provided ample notice, visuals, videos, and detailed information through emails. To ensure our members could continue their fitness routines, we also offered additional classes during the gym’s closure.”
The response from members has been overwhelmingly positive, with feedback collected through the Happy or Not portal, emails, and direct conversations reflecting high satisfaction. The refurbishment’s success is attributed to the collaborative efforts of the maintenance, cleaning, gym, reception, and management teams.
Since the refurbishment, Whittlebury Park has experienced a 31% increase in membership referrals, showcasing the positive reception of the gym’s new look and improved layout.
